On February 28, 2008, I received my endowment from the Manila Philippines Temple and my temple escort was Bro. Stephen Raflores who serves a honorable full time mission in the Cagayan De Oro Mission and eventually to the Pagadian District. He has been able to touched the lives of my mum and my wife who remains fond of him. This was taken after our temple session with Sister Lani Manahan, another missionary who has served in our district.
This was done prior to my travel to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to attend the 1st International Language Conference and to present my research paper entitled, "Islamicisation of the Philippine Education Sector: Mainstreaming Madrasah Education".
Our experience in the Temple is beyond compare. I had experienced serenity that I had never achieved outside of the Temple. I was relieved that I had undertaken and received my temple ordinances as well as my endowment. This experience remains steadfastly inscribed in my memory and heart.
As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we are encouraged to visit the Temple and be worthy to enter the House of the Lord. I was ready at that day. My plans are set and my endowment happened through the help of a dear friend.
Brother Stephen (aka elder raflores) is an example of humility and optimism. I have learned from him the value of humility and at the same time, learn from his the essence of future endeavors that is favorable to our Heavenly Father. He has been a guiding friend to my mum and an inspiration of our family.
This experience I had changed my outlook in life. It manifestly change the way I look at my life, my career and the future that holds for me and my family.
