A chance visit to the Galeri Petronas at the Petronas Towers brought me to the Matahati exhibition featuring young and vibrant Malaysian Artists like this fellow who is a very good painter and sculptor.
We talked at the galeri and about their exhibition which I am profoundly awed. He told me he has been working with filipino artists too in Manila.
Artists like them needs the support of the government primarily because you come see them so often and has been a driving force in the mindset or national psyche of a country and the spirit of the nation.
